The Four of Pentacles portrays the achievements you've won and, at the same time, the danger of clinging to them. It speaks of material stability and security, but also of attachment, control, and a guarded attitude that can harden into greed and isolation.

- stability
- attachment
- control
- conservatism
This card has a bright side and a dark one. On one hand, you've met many of your goals and reached a solid, steady financial position, with no nasty surprises. On the other, that focus on the material may have made you possessive and risk-averse, with feelings as cold and calculated as the coins, leaving an undercurrent of dissatisfaction. There's a lot of resistance to change here and a tendency to control your surroundings, which can push people away. The big message is not to give money more value than it holds: having it is nice, but clinging to it ends up bringing more trouble than benefit.
- Love
- Fear breeds attachment, yours or your partner's, and that isn't healthy; if you're single, step out of your comfort zone and dare to take a chance.
- Work
- It's stable and secure, but maybe you're doing something you're not passionate about just for the payoff; dare to trust yourself.
- Money
- No problems in sight, but be careful not to hold on too tightly; being responsible is fine, greed is not. Practice giving.
- Health
- Forgive the past and your mistakes; watch the stress and nerves that come from always running the numbers.
- Spirituality
- Look inward to overcome the fears that block you; you can't control everything, so open up to change, however small.
Reversed, the Four of Pentacles shows its worst face: that need for control turns into a sharp, often groundless fear of poverty and lack. It drives you to guard your money to the point of bordering on greed, and the same blockage takes hold emotionally, with serious trouble opening up and sharing. Consumed by work and finances, you neglect important bonds, and even with the material win there's a bittersweet aftertaste. These stances urgently need correcting. At the opposite extreme, the card can also point to runaway spending.
- Love
- A kinder face: alerted to the harm your walls do, you open up so relationships can flow; conquer the fear of rejection.
- Work
- Fear of poverty drives you to overwork and avoid risk; don't let good opportunities pass out of fear.
- Money
- A good omen, you won't be short of money or business; don't let an obsession with lack convince you that nothing is ever enough.
- Health
- You've been carrying heavy worries that likely aren't true; your health is good, it's your thoughts that are wearing you down.
- Spirituality
- Your fears leave a lesson: you learn to relax and enjoy what you've earned, easing your way out of your safe zone bit by bit.
